On October 6, 2026, students from the Industrial Engineering Department of Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” East Java visited PT Petro Oxo Nusantara (PT PON) to gain first-hand insights into the chemical industry, from production processes to product distribution management. The visit provided an opportunity for students to learn about the practical application of Industrial Engineering principles in industrial operations.

The program began with opening remarks from PT PON management representatives, Mr. Bimo Pambudi, HR Supervisor, and Mr. Bayu Hendratomo, Production Manager. This was followed by a safety induction delivered by Mr. Sutaryo, QCA SHE Manager, introducing the students to occupational health and safety practices within the plant. The students then attended presentations on the company profile, business processes, and chemical industry operations, delivered by Mr. Yulian Syah and Mr. Sutarno from the Production Department (SPTD).

Following the presentations, the students were taken on a guided tour of the plant to observe the production processes firsthand and gain a better understanding of day-to-day industrial operations. The visit continued with a question-and-answer session and an interactive discussion with company representatives, allowing the students to explore various aspects of production activities and operational management.

Through this industrial visit, students are expected to broaden their knowledge and gain practical insights into the application of Industrial Engineering in the workplace, particularly by familiarizing themselves with the equipment used in production processes, understanding how the equipment operates, and learning about operational management in the chemical industry.
