Officially established on May 9, 1996, PT Petro Oxo Nusantara or the "Company" started a business in the industrial sector of 2-Ethyl Hexanol (2EH), Iso-Butanol (IBA), N-Butanol (NBA), and Liquid Carbon Dioxide (LCO2) for regions of Indonesia and Southeast Asia

In its journey, the Company, which began operating in September 1998, has succeeded in taking advantage of every available business opportunity so as to be able to increase its operational performance by up to 110% in less than 2 (two) years.

PRODUCTION FACILITIES

Well-Planned Technology

Our plants and facilities use process technology from Haldor Topsøe for Synthesis Gas, UOP - DOW for CO2 and Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation, Japan for Octanol Plants. The raw materials used for this process are PROPYLENE (Liquid Propylene Gas) and NATURAL GAS. Octanol is produced from Propylene and Synthesis Gas (a mixture of Carbon Monoxide and Hydrogen gases) through Aldol Condensation from Butyraldehyde and then followed by Hydrogenation.

Since 2015, PT Petro Oxo Nusantara has started to produce Liquid CO2 with an extraction process using flue gas from a reformer which is rich in CO2, using Union Engineering - Denmark technology, our Liquid CO2 meets food grade quality standards contained in the FSSC-22,000 certification from Lloyd's. s Register Quality Assurance, Halal Certification and Domestic Component Level of 97%
