On May 27, 2025, PT Pertamina (Persero) and PT Badak NGL conducted a benchmarking visit to PT Petro Oxo Nusantara (PT PON) to study CO₂ utilization and liquefaction.

PT PON opened the event with a safety induction, followed by an in-depth presentation on the steam reforming process and CO₂ liquefaction, including utility requirements as well as operational challenges and their mitigation.

Through this discussion, the aim is to foster collaboration and knowledge-sharing in the development of more efficient carbon capture and CO₂ utilization technologies. It also seeks to provide a comprehensive understanding of PT PON's production processes and promote positive synergy for the advancement of the national petrochemical industry.

The visit concluded with a plant tour, offering direct observation of the production process and practical insights into the implementation of the latest technologies.
